SMU's Shake Milton sent to Philadelphia 76ers after being picked in second round of NBA draft

Former SMU guard Shake Milton is going to be a member of the process.

The Philadelphia 76ers, via a trade with the Dallas Mavericks, picked Milton with the 54th pick in the NBA draft on Thursday night.

The 6-foot-6 Owasso, Okla., native is the third SMU prospect to be drafted in the last two drafts, joining Semi Ojeleye and Sterling Brown from last year's draft class. Prior to 2017, no Mustang had been drafted since Jeryl Sasser in the first round in 2001.

Milton played three years at SMU. He averaged 13.4 points, 3.9 assists and 3.
