UNIVERSITY PARK -- It wasn't easy for Jimmy Whitt to get used to the new normal.
The 6-foot-3 guard can't remember sitting out a game for injury, sickness or any other reason before college or even during his freshman season at Arkansas. So when he transferred to SMU and had to sit out for a season due to NCAA rules, it was a restless feeling.
"It's hard," Whitt says. "It was a struggle but just to work and see how I'm at the point this year, it's been worth it."
SMU's 81-35 win over Northwestern State Wednesday marked the third game since Whitt returned to the court.
