INDIANAPOLIS -- Courtland Sutton will be happy with whatever NFL team drafts him next month. But if he could pick, it would be the Dallas Cowboys.
The former SMU wide receiver is regarded as one of the top players in this year's draft class, projected to go among the top 50 picks.
"I grew up a Cowboys fan, me and my dad are huge Cowboys fans," Sutton said Friday from the NFL scouting combine. "Me and him were able to go to a Cowboys game in December [vs. Seattle]. It was his first Cowboys game. It was a great honor to be able to get him to a game, and to see a Cowboys game up close, that was awesome for me to be able to do that.
