Before every college football team begins fall camp, players need to go through their physicals and weigh in to see if they hit their offseason conditioning goals, whether they were to gain muscle or lose weight.
But instead of making it feel like a test on Sunday, SMU's coaching staff made the Mustangs' weigh-in feel almost like a club.
There were lights flashing in the Mustangs' red, blue and white. Balloons lined the stage as music played in the background. Recruiting director Mark Smith was the MC, wearing a white suit and sunglasses and he announced each player's results to cheers from the rest of the team.
