On SMU's poor first half:
"I thought [Navy] wanted it a whole lot more than we did in the first half for whatever reason. That shcoked and surprised me. I thought we had a great plan in the first half. Offensively, we looked bad. Defensively, we looked bad. Special teams, we looked bad. In an environment like this, it is hard to be bad in the first half. I challenged them in the second half.
