UNIVERSITY PARK -- The SMU offense should face a very specific challenge against Houston on Saturday.
The Cougars are led by sophomore defensive tackle Ed Oliver, who is coming an All-American freshman campaign. SMU head coach Chad Morris called Oliver one of the two best defensive players in the country on Tuesday.
Oliver is currently dealing with an MCL strain, but he played through a similar injury last season so there is reason to expect him to do so again on Saturday.
"He's a really good player. Felt like we had a pretty good plan against them last year and being able to help with him at times," SMU offensive coordinator Joe Craddock said.
