During halftime of SMU's win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday, SMU president R. Gerald Turner made a special presentation in honor of a former Mustang legend.
Turner announced that a scholarship fund named "The Ira Terrell Endowed Athletic Scholarship Fund" supporting men's basketball had been established by an anonymous donor. The endowment will last in perpetuity in Terrell's honor.
