SMU forward Akoy Agau says he will play against Cincinnati after ankle injury

ORLANDO -- SMU forward Akoy Agau walked into the post-game press conference following SMU's 80-73 win over UConn with a large bag of ice around his right ankle. He'd rolled it in the final minute of the game while blocking a Huskie shot.

Still, Agau said that he will be able to play Friday as the Mustangs face Cincinnati in the American Conference quarterfinals.

"It's just a little tweak. It's fine. I'm just icing it up," Agau said. "I'll be ready to play tomorrow."

Agau, who transferred to SMU from Georgetown prior to the season, scored a career-high 21 points in the Mustangs' win over UConn.
