A member of SMU's coaching staff is leaving Dallas for Philadelphia.
Defensive line coach Brett Diersen will join the Rod Carey's coaching staff at Temple, per FootballScoop's Zach Barnett.
The Owls play alongside the Mustangs in the American Athletic Conference and will play in Dallas this October.
Diersen coached at SMU for one season after following defensive coordinator Kevin Kane over from Northern Illinois. He coached the Huskies' D-line for five seasons.
It is unclear how SMU head coach Sonny Dykes will fill the opening.
