Just as there's no reason Arkansas shouldn't want Chad Morris to be its head coach, there's also no reason he shouldn't take the job.
And that tells you something about both Arkansas and SMU.
From Arkansas' vantage point, after the failure to land Gus Malzahn, Morris is a solid Plan B. He checks the boxes: Good coach, maybe an even better recruiter, great ties with Texas high school coaches and he runs an offense Razorback fans will like. More entertaining than Bret Bielema's, anyway.
Any reservations Arkansas fans may have are almost exclusively because of Morris' record in three years at SMU: 14-22.
