SMU athletic director Rick Hart will remain at SMU after Kansas showed some interest in him for the same position in Lawrence, according to a report from USA Today's Dan Wolken.
Sources: Rick Hart, who had been the initial focus of the Kansas AD search, is staying put at SMU. Kansas moving on to other options, expected to interview more candidates this week.

Hart was been at SMU for six years following a seven-year stint at Tennessee-Chattanooga. In his time on the Hilltop, Hart has overseen facilities projects for programs such as golf, track and field, tennis and swimming.
