Report: Notre Dame grad transfer WR C.J. Sanders commits to SMU

Former Notre Dame wide receiver C.J. Sanders will graduate and transfer to SMU, according to a report from 247Sports.com. Sanders will be immediately eligible to play for SMU in 2018 following the transfer.

After the losses of Courtland Sutton and Trey Quinn to the NFL draft, receiver has been a position that head coach Sonny Dykes and his staff have wanted to address with a graduate transfer. They do so with Sanders, who made 26 catches in his career with the Irish for 293 yards and two touchdowns.

Only one of those catches, however, came in 2017.
