Recent transfers could soon have SMU Basketball trending in the right direction

SMU basketball has been plagued by injuries the past few seasons. Self-imposed scholarship restrictions resulting from NCAA infractions have compounded the Mustangs' lack of depth. Last season, SMU posted its first losing record (15-17) in six seasons.

But, thanks to some recent transfers, things might be looking up for Tim Jankovich's staff very soon. What we know for sure: The bench will be getting longer, and that's great news.

In the past two weeks, SMU has earned commitments from a top JUCO prospect and a Houston native who started 28 games in the PAC 12 last season.
