Oklahoma basketball will open its season against the Omaha Mavericks on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
The Sooners will be looking to get off to a good start in the 2017-18 season after missing out on postseason play a year ago. True freshman point guard Trae Young is expected to lead the way for the new-look Oklahoma squad.
Coach Lon Kruger is entering his seventh season at the helm in Norman.
