SMU golf coach Jason Enloe announced on Instagram Tuesday that his wife, Katie Enloe, died early in the morning.
Katie Enloe had been fighting Leukemia and set up a #KatieStrongTX campaign.
Enloe was also a sister-in-law to D-FW-connected PGA pro Hunter Mahan.
In January, Enloe was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, an aggressive form of leukemia.
According to the Enloes' YouCaring campaign page set up to help cover expenses, "after a routine self breast exam, Katie discovered a suspicious lump causing great concern. She scheduled an appointment with her doctor and was quickly rushed for an immediate biopsy.
