UNIVERSITY PARK -- After his collegiate career was put on pause for a year, Jahmal McMurray made his SMU debut in the Mustangs' 86-63 win over Boise State.
McMurray transferred to SMU from South Florida midway through the 2016-17 season after USF fired head coach Orlando Antigua. Due to NCAA rules, McMurray was not allowed to play for a full calendar year.
The redshirt junior checked in with 10:44 to play in the first half, receiving a knowing round of applause from the Moody Coliseum crowd. When he first got the ball at the top of the arch, there were some whoops around the stadium as fans anticipated the shot creation that McMurray flashed while in Tampa.
