How SMU's fourth-and-26 conversion reminded Chad Morris of a turning point at Clemson

UNIVERSITY PARK -- SMU head coach Chad Morris believes that SMU's fourth-and-26 conversion in its overtime win over Cincinnati was a historical turning point in the Mustangs program.

He's said the same thing about the 28-yard pass from Ben Hicks to Trey Quinn in the same context twice, both immediately following the game and in Monday's press conference. Morris also spoke with the team about the play's significance.

"I shared with our guys I've been a part of one like that really changed the course of an entire program," Morris said.

The play he is referring to a fourth-and-16 situation from Clemson's 2012 Chick-fil-A Bowl win over LSU.
