How SMU quarterback Ben Hicks' competitiveness hurt him against TCU

UNIVERSITY PARK -- SMU quarterback Ben Hicks had his most uneven performance of the young season in Saturday's 56-36 loss to TCU.

The sophomore completed 17 of 37 passes for 305 yards and two touchdowns. He threw two interceptions in the fourth quarter and was off-target on some passes as he faced the most pressure from an opposing defense he's seen in 2017.

SMU offensive coordinator Joe Craddock felt that Hicks was pressing too much in a game that looked more like Hicks' freshman season than his first two games this year.
