UNIVERSITY PARK -- The third year of the Chad Morris era at SMU started with a bang. The Mustangs defeated Stephen F. Austin 58-14. They scored more points than any of the previous 24 games under Morris and the win was the most-lopsided of his tenure.
It's by no means the end of the journey, but it was a positive step after 33-plus months at SMU for Morris.
"It's actually 1,008 days," Morris will remind you. "But who's counting, huh?"
That's who Morris has always been, long before SMU hired him in December, 2014, when he was the offensive coordinator at Clemson.
