Freshman guard Elijah Landrum will transfer from SMU, he announced on Twitter on Thursday.
"Having spoken to my family, we have decided for my interest academically and athletically to pursue options at another institution," Landrum wrote. "While short, I've truly enjoyed my time at SMU. The coaching staff have done a great job in helping to make sure I succeed in every possible way."
Landrum averaged 3.1 points and 1.6 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game as a freshman. His role increased as the season progressed, even starting some games down the stretch of the season after injuries ravaged SMU's starting lineup.
