It's been a five-month process since the end of SMU's bowl game to the week of the NFL draft, but former Mustang Courtland Sutton still can't quite believe that he's about to find out which team he will start his NFL career with.
"I ain't gonna lie, it's not so much surreal as it's the week of and you can kind of feel the energy of knowing that it's right here," Sutton said over the phone. "It's really exciting."
Sutton is in Dallas, though he won't be at AT&T Stadium for the draft. His family is making the drive up from Brenham and will watch the draft together in a hotel suite rather than make the drive out to Arlington.
