UNIVERSITY PARK - SMU wide receiver Courtland Sutton climbed the SMU record book in the first half of Saturday's game against UNT.

His three first-half receiving touchdowns moved him up two spots past Jerry LeVias and Darius Johnson for fourth place in program history with 23 career receiving touchdowns. He is 11 off of Emmanuel Sanders' program record of 34 receiving touchdowns.

Sutton's first touchdown was a 62-yarder on a dig route in the first quarter. He broke a tackle and won a foot race to the corner of the end zone. Sutton scored again in the second quarter on a 40-yard pass from Ben Hicks that went just over the fingertips of a defensive back to find the 6-foot-4 receiver.
