It's not likely that an SMU player wins the Heisman Trophy this year.
But junior wide receiver Courtland Sutton is back after contemplating a leap to the NFL and gives the Mustangs their best shot at a Heisman winner in a long time.
Sutton, who was originally recruited as a safety, missed his first year with an injury. Sutton, however, exploded onto the scene as a redshirt freshman, becoming the Mustangs' go-to offensive weapon.
Since then, Sutton has established himself as one of the top wide receivers in the American Athletic Conference and the country.
