Corner Jordan Wyatt coming off best game of season for SMU

Corneback Jordan Wyatt had his best game off the season in SMU's win at Tulane on Saturday, coach Sonny Dykes said.

Wyatt was an integral part of a pass defense that held Tulane quarterback Jonathan Banks for to 153 yards on 14 completions in 23 attempts. Wyatt was credited with one pass broken, and he allowed only 17 yards on four completions against him.

"He made a bunch of contested plays on the ball,'' Dykes said. "When he plays like that, he frees a bench of other players up.''

Defensive coordinator Kevin Kane would be the biggest benefactor if Wyatt continues to play at this level, Dykes said.
