What was your biggest takeaway from Big 12 media days?
Carlton: How about the idea that Horns down is now definitely a penalty? Except when it's not. Or as Big 12 coordinator of officials Greg Burks put it, it depends. OK, I kid, I kid. Actually, it may be the lack of drama. More than most years, coaches seem comfortable with their teams or at least are too new (looking at you Les Miles) not to have optimism.
