IRVING -- Five weeks ago, Colt Knost thought his season was over, after a doctor told him he had two torn ligaments in his left thumb.
Turns out it was a small cyst. He took two weeks off.
In three events since his return, Pilot Point and SMU product Knost has tied for 41st at the Wells Fargo Championship, tied for third in the Players Championship and on Sunday he tied for fourth in his hometown AT&T Byron Nelson.
