Road woes
If you can believe it, Memphis didn't earn its first win on the road until November -- a 59-41 win over East Carolina. The Tigers had lost their previous three road games against Navy, Tulane and Missouri.
Those defeats, in addition to a home loss against Central Florida, have compounded into an underwhelming season for Memphis. The Tigers earned preseason votes in the AP Poll and Amway Coaches Poll and were picked as the favorite to win the American Athletic Conference western division.
