As SMU prepares to play the UConn Huskies in the opening round of the American Conference tournament, here are five things Mustang fans should know about Connecticut.
1. Coming in cold. Much like SMU, UConn isn't exactly riding a wave of positive momentum into Orlando. The Huskies are losers of five of their last seven games, and eight of their last 11, a stretch that dropped UConn from two games over .500 to three below. Granted, there have been no stunning defeats like SMU's season-ending loss to South Florida. But nonetheless, SMU is running into UConn at the right time.
