The Mustangs will retain many valuable assets in 2019, but will also lose many of their top producers from last season.
Here are the five departures that will hurt SMU the most next season (in no particular order):
Ben Hicks, QB, transfer (Arkansas)
Depending on your opinion of Ben Hicks, one might be happy to see him follow Chad Morris to the SEC. That being said, it's too early to tell whether Hicks' departure will leave SMU up a creek without a paddle in the quarterback department. Love him or hate him, Hicks set multiple program records and looked to pass for another 2,500 yards as a senior, at least.
