18-year-old qualifier Emma Raducanu beats Leylah Fernandez to win women's US Open final

Emma Raducanu completed her shocking tear through the women's field of the US Open on Saturday, becoming the youngest Grand Slam champion in 17 years.

The 18-year-old qualifier from Britain beat 19-year-old Leylah Fernandez of Canada 6-4, 6-

Raducanu was the first player in the professional era to make a major final after playing her way into the tournament through the qualifying rounds.

She did not drop a set all tournament.
