Softball splits games on Saturday

The Seton Hall softball team split its action at the North Texas Tournament on Saturday afternoon, winning 5-3 against Northwestern State to complete the sweep but losing, 14-2, to North Texas.

Darby Pandolfo drove in Janae Barracato to give the Pirates an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first with a two-out double. Northwestern State’s Elise Vincent reached on a fielding error by Seton Hall and the Demons capitalized on this with a one-out RBI by E.C. Delafield to tie the game at one run apiece.

The Pirates answered back to retake the lead with two runs in the bottom of the second on a sacrifice fly by Barracato and an RBI single by Pandolfo for her second run of the game.
