Seton Hall continued its challenging out-of-conference schedule in the run-up to Big East play on Saturday. But VCU proved to be not much of a challenge for the Pirates.
Riding a standout defensive performance and a balanced scoring outburst, No. 19 Seton Hall cruised to an 90-67 victory over VCU in the Never Forget Tribute Classic at Prudential Center.
The Pirates (8-1) got double-digit scoring from all five of its starters, and blacked out the Rams offense for a long period of the first half to take control of the game before continuing the domination.
