It took a little longer than some expected, but Angel Delgado is finally getting some national love for his historic Seton Hall season.
Delgado was named a finalist for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award, given to the top center in the country, by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Friday. He is one of five finalists for the award after he was not on the list of 10 finalists which was released back in February.
Przemek Karnowski of Gonzaga, Tim Kempton, Jr. of Lehigh, Jock Landale of Saint Mary's and Ethan Happ of Wisconsin are the other big men vying for the award, which will be presented on April 7 at the ESPN College Basketball Awards held in Los Angeles.
