PRINCETON -- The Princeton University women's basketball team is back.
Not back from summer vacation, not back from mid-terms. They are back from mediocrity. Maybe not quite undefeated regular seasons, but back to challenging for the Ivy League title, qualifying for the NCAA Tournament.
Coming off a 16-14 season and a mediocre 9-5 league record that was more like Poison Ivy, a relatively young Tiger team seems poised to both entertain and succeed.
"What a difference a year makes, in terms of the improved pieces that we have and a lot of young talent who will contribute immediately what we're about,'' coach Courtney Banghart said yesterday at the team's Media Day gathering at Jadwin Gym.
