The Seton Hall men’s and women’s cross country teams traveled to Newark, Del., on Saturday for the Delaware Cross Country Invitational, but only the women participated.
The men’s race was canceled due to excessive heat, following the women’s turn.
It was only 81 degrees, but humidity made it feel like 91. The Pirates had a tough time in the harsh conditions, ranking outside the top six teams once the day was finished. Junior Emily Johnson had the best time for the Pirates, as she finished 14th out of 100 runners with a time of 24:47.
