NEW YORK -- Seton Hall has experienced euphoric highs and debilitating lows over the past three years -- which is to be expected when a young core is thrown to the fire that is the Big East.
But the Pirates no longer have youth as an excuse. When center Angel Delgado stopped flirting with the NBA and decided to return for his senior season, he had a message for his teammates that has become a refrain.
"Now," Angel Delgado says, "we're old."
Seton Hall may be a team filled with players in their early 20s and younger.
