It has been a strong summer for Pirates competing in the New England Collegiate Baseball League, as four have earned a spot in the league’s All-Star festivities.
First baseman Mikael Ali-Mogues, reliever Andrew Politi and shortstop Al Molina will play for the North Division, while reliever Ryan Testani will be with the South Division on Sunday, July 17 when the two teams play atCardines Field in Newport, R.I.
Mogues, who currently leads the Vermont Mountaineers in batting average (.330) and hits (32), found out while out to lunch with his family that he had not only made the All-Star team, but the home run derby as well.
