Holden, a 6-foot-2 combo guard, also visited Virginia Tech and Seton Hall, and he had previously considered Baylor and Kansas.
"Frank Martin was honest and was able to communicate his plan to me," Holden said. "I heard all good things about him through the process, and his vision for me aligns with my personal goals. I enjoyed the visit and the guys. I feel it's the best fit for me."
Holden averaged 17.7 points and 4.2 assists last season for a Delaware team that went 7-23, and he earned second-team all-CAA honors. He announced his decision to transfer in early March and immediately became one of the most sought-after transfers.
