Sydney Simpson finished first in the 100-meter butterfly as she led the Seton Hall women’s swimming and diving team to a fourth overall finish in the Patriot Invitational, held at George Mason University. Meanwhile, Tyler Yanchulis, Tyler Kauth, John Redoutey and Dakota Williams finished second out of 14 teams with a time of 1:22.44 in the 200-meter freestyle relay as they led the men’s team to a similar fourth-place finish.
Although the efforts for the men’s side didn’t equate to a win, the performance in that 200-meter relay equaled one of the top 50 finishes so far this season in all of college swimming.
