Collective offensive performance gets Pirates past TCU

After dropping their first two games at No. 19 Texas Christian, Seton Hall was able to wake up the bats to defeat the Horned Frogs, 7-3, in the series finale on Sunday afternoon. The victory increases the Pirates’ record to 15-17.

The Pirates were guided by starting pitcher Noah Thompson. Thompson tossed 6.2 innings, giving up just five hits while allowing three earned runs. The right-hander exited the game with 101 pitches and six strikeouts, walking only one.

In the batter’s box, Seton Hall exploded for 14 hits, capitalizing on its connections for seven runs. The runs came in spurts for the Pirates, as they scored in four different innings.
