The hometown duo of Isaiah Whitehead and Khadeen Carrington helped propel Seton Hall to an 81-73 victory over the Creighton Bluejays in the quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament.
“It felt a lot like home. A lot of us are from New York and there were a lot of Pirate fans here and a lot of friends and family,” Carrington said of playing at Madison Square Garden, the arena being close to his native Brooklyn.
Carrington had a career-high of 27 points, with five of those coming from three pointers in the victory.
“I think I did a great job tonight, I think my team did a great job tonight, they came back they made their runs,” he said.
