The decision Kevin Sumlin announced Monday regarding his starting quarterback was the easy part.
Now comes the difficult part. The Aggies must ensure Trevor Knight can do the things that he couldn't while in Norman, Oklahoma: take good care of the football, start for the balance of the season, and perform consistently well enough to put the team in division title contention.
Sumlin publicly gave the starting quarterback nod to Knight, a graduate transfer from Oklahoma, Monday over Jake Hubenak, and understandably so. Knight is the physically superior quarterback, he performed better in the Aggies’ final two live scrimmages and from all accounts, was the better performer throughout spring football, which concluded last Saturday.
