In the early game, fourth-seeded Kentucky clashed with the ninth-seeded Alabama Crimson Tide, who may be firmly on the NCAA men's tournament bubble.
Another bubble team, sixth-seeded Arkansas, was scheduled to clash with the No. 2 Tennessee Volunteers in the second semifinal.
