This week we’re taking a team-by-team look at some of the intriguing freshmen on SEC teams, and who among them could be instant-impact players.
Next up are the Kentucky Wildcats.
OT Landon Young: There’s a potential opening at left tackle with Jordan Swindle gone, and neither Cole Mosier nor Tate Leavitt took hold of the job during spring practice. That means Young, Kentucky’s top-rated signee in 2016, will have an opportunity to compete for a starting spot as soon as he steps foot on campus. It wouldn’t be the first time Mark Stoops has started a true freshman on the offensive line.
