SEC Football: Former Saban assistants are taking over the SEC

Related Topics: Southeastern Conference

Ever since Nick Saban became the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2007, he has completely dominated the SEC. The Crimson Tide has won five SEC Championships, and they have played in six conference title games under Saban.

Before Saban came to Alabama, the Crimson Tide had never had a Heisman winner. Since 2009, Alabama has had two running backs win the Heisman Trophy.

The current head coach has also led Alabama to four national titles, and this season, the Crimson Tide will make their fourth straight appearance in a College Football Playoff semifinal game.
