A look at Kentucky’s biggest position need for 2016 and how the Wildcats are addressing it in recruiting:
Biggest need: Pass protection has been a problem area for Kentucky since Mark Stoops took over in Lexington. The Wildcats finished second to last in the SEC a year ago after giving up 36 sacks, and they were toward the bottom again this past season with 30 sacks allowed.
Left tackle Jordan Swindle was part to blame for the struggles, but Kentucky will still miss his experience and leadership up front. Swindle, a captain, started 11 of 12 games as a senior and a total of 35 games in his career.
