Florida's Friday night spring game had a different feel.
For one, the Gators went under the lights, bringing another layer of excitement to Florida's glorified scrimmage, and you could tell that the players fed off the nighttime setting.
But it was also different because fans got to witness much more consistent quarterback play, which they haven't seen since 2009. Granted this was a spring game and the defense gets somewhat watered down at times, but folks in Gainesville had to be thrilled to see the favorite to start throw for 176 yards and two touchdowns on 10-of-11 passing.
