Black defeated Garnet, 35-14, in South Carolina’s spring game on Saturday in Columbia.
But more importantly, more than 30,000 Gamecock fans got to see Will Muschamp coach in Williams-Brice Stadium for the first time, albeit in a glorified scrimmage.
Here are a few observations from the game:
A mixed bag on defense: For much of the first half, you would have said that the defense led. Then the passing game opened up, the secondary didn’t respond well and the offense took over. But with that being said, there were some bright spots on the side of the ball that Muschamp spends the most time with.
