True freshman quarterback Bo Nix found wideout Seth Williams for a 26-yard touchdown pass with nine seconds remaining as No. 16 Auburn scored 21 unanswered points to defeat No. 11 Oregon 27-21 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday.
Down 21-6 late in the third quarter, Nix found Eli Stone for an 11-yard touchdown to help Auburn crawl within one possession. Backup quarterback Joey Gatewood rushed into the end zone from one yard out with 9:48 left before Nix led the Tigers on an 11-play, 60-yard touchdown drive to seal the win.
JaTarvious Whitlow rushed 24 times for 110 yards to lead the Auburn offense.
