It was a Thursday night in early December. Missouri defensive coordinator Barry Odom stood in the hallway, nervously waiting to see how his players would react to the news that he would be the team's next head coach.
"They didn't know who was going to walk through the door when they opened it," Odom said. "So I'm sitting there a little bit hesitant because you would hope that you would be well received. They would've had to cut the cameras pretty quick if I walked in and they stood up and started booing."
But the players didn't boo.
